Dr. R. Sridhar is a highly experienced plastic surgeon with over two decades of dedicated service in the Tamil Nadu government healthcare system. He currently serves as the Professor and Head of the Department in Plastic Surgery and Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery in Tamilnadu Government Multi super specialty hospital, Omandur Hospital , with a strong academic and clinical background in reconstructive, cosmetic, and microsurgical procedures.

 

A graduate of Stanley Medical College, Dr. Sridhar completed his M.Ch in Plastic Surgery and was awarded the prestigious Prof. C. R. Sunderrajan Medal in 2007 for his work on nasal reconstruction. He further specialized with an Ethicon Fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery in 2011, enriching his skills in aesthetic procedures.

He is also closely involved in professional societies, currently serving as Secretary of TANPAPS and ISSHCON 2020.

 

Beyond medicine, Dr. Sridhar is a trained Mridangam player and has performed in multiple classical music programs under the mentorship of Grammy Award winner Vikku Vinayakram, reflecting his deep appreciation for South Indian classical arts.
