Dr. M. Mohamed Sameer is a distinguished orthopaedic surgeon and senior consultant , with over 16 years of national and international experience. An alumnus of Chengalpattu Medical College (MBBS), he holds postgraduate qualifications in orthopaedics (MS), DNB, and dual fellowships from the UK (MRCS Ed and Glasgow), alongside a Diploma in Tissue Banking.
Dr. Sameer has served as Assistant Professor at SRMC (2008–09) and at Madras Medical College (2009–17), before undertaking specialty registrar roles in Adelaide (Flinders University) and Glasgow (Golden Jubilee), and trauma fellowship training in Singapore.
His clinical expertise encompasses joint replacement (including computer-assisted and minimally invasive techniques), trauma care, arthroscopy, sports injuries, bone & tissue banking, and spine surgery. He has advanced fellowships from leading institutions, including Australian Orthopaedic Association, AO Trauma Singapore, and Glasgow’s Royal College of Surgeons.
Dr. Sameer is an active clinical researcher and academic, authoring publications in top-tier journals on topics such as elbow fracture-dislocations, tibial pilon fixation, and mega-prostheses for osteosarcoma. His awards include the B. Braun Scholarship (2007), TNOA PG Scholarship (2008), and Best Doctor Award from Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University (2012).
He is a lifetime member of prominent associations, including Madras Orthopaedic Society, IOA, Tamil Nadu Orthopaedic Association, Indian Arthroscopy Society, and AO Trauma.
