Dr. M.P. Kumaran, M.S., M.Ch., is a distinguished General and Endocrine Surgeon with over 20 years of surgical experience. He holds an M.Ch. in Endocrine Surgery (Madras Medical College, 2010–2013), an M.S. in General Surgery (Madras Medical College, 2002–2005), and an MBBS degree (Madurai Medical College, 1991–1997).

To date, Dr. Kumaran has performed more than 5,000 general surgeries, including over 2,000 minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures, more than 1,000 thyroid surgeries, adrenalectomies and advanced endocrine resections. As Assistant Professor in Endocrine Surgery at Madras Medical College (November 2014–present), he leads advanced surgical care, mentors junior surgeons, and fosters academic excellence.

Previously, he served as Assistant Surgeon at Government Hospital, Thiruvottiyur, Chennai (August 2013–November 2014), delivering primary surgical care across diverse clinical cases.
