Dr. Billy Paul Wilson is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon having a special interest in Knee Replacements, Arthroscopic surgeries and Sports Injuries with 27 years of experience. He is fully fellowship trained from the UK, and worked as a senior orthopaedic surgeon in prominent centres across the United Kingdom, including Sheffield teaching hospitals NHS trust.

Dr Billy is an expert in Partial, Total and Robotic assisted Knee replacements, Knee preservation surgery including cartilage restoration and osteotomies, Ligament reconstruction, meniscal repairs, arthroscopic surgeries and treatment / management of Sports injuries of all joints (Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, Hip, Knee and Ankle). He also performs advanced trauma surgery, hip and shoulder replacements. He has operated on many prominent professional sportspersons, who have regained their sporting prowess following focussed rehabilitation. Besides, he has also trained and developed an excellent team of physiotherapists who rehabilitate the patients to achieve their expected level of return to sports or activities of daily living.

He has completed his MBBS from Trivandrum Medical College in 1998, M.S. Orthopaedics from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, India in 2002, MRCS (UK) from Royal College of Surgeons Of Edinburgh, UK in 2006 and FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK in 2012.

Dr.Billy has previously worked in MIOT International, Chennai as the Head of the Department of Arthroscopy , Sports medicine and Knee reconstruction for nearly 10 years. He was instrumental in starting the course of Fellowship of the National Board in Sports Medicine, accredited to the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences and was the Programme Director for the same until his tenure in MIOT. He has trained many orthopaedic surgeons across the country to upgrade their clinical and surgical skills to the highest calibre.

He is an Active member of prominent societies like International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), European Society of Sports traumatology, Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy (ESSKA), Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Indian Arthroscopic society (IAS), Indian Cartilage Society (ICS), Society of Knee surgeons, India (SKI), Shoulder and Elbow society of India (SESI), Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association, Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA) and Indian Medical Association (IMA). He is an invited faculty for National and International conferences and has authored research publications in reputed journals
